Waqt (“we”, “our”, or “us”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

1. Information we collect

  • Account information: email address and authentication details provided when you create an account.
  • Location: if you grant permission, we use your approximate location solely to calculate local prayer times. Location data is not shared with third parties.
  • Usage data: app interactions such as created tasks, goals, check-ins, and time-block events. This is used to provide and improve the service.
  • Billing information: when you upgrade to Pro, Stripe processes your payment details. We do not store full payment card numbers.

2. How we use your information

  • To provide the core planning, prayer-time, and goal-tracking features.
  • To authenticate you and keep your data secure.
  • To process payments and manage subscriptions.
  • To fix bugs and improve app performance.

3. Data sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We share limited data only with trusted service providers needed to run the app: our backend/auth provider and Stripe for payments. All providers are contractually bound to keep your data secure.

4. Data retention

We keep your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we remove your personal data within a reasonable time, except where we are required to keep it by law.

5. Your rights

You can update your profile, location, and buckets in the app settings. You may also delete your account from the settings page, which removes your data from active systems.

6. Security

We use industry-standard measures including encrypted connections and Row-Level Security on our database. No system is completely secure, but we work hard to protect your information.

7. Children

Waqt is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version in the app and update the “Last updated” date.
